Nothing says summer like a bar-b-que, but firing up the grill and getting together the ingredients takes time and effort. Instead, my husband and I walk over to our neighborhood Charlie Brown’s and pick up 2 perfectly-cooked hamburgers and fries. Then we enjoy them in our backyard while the sun sets. It’s the epitome of summer: burgers, a couple of beers, our dog sniffing out critters, some music filtering outside from the stereo. All without the work. Of course, to end our delightful meal, we share a slice of Charlie Brown’s outstanding carrot cake. I wish summer would never end.
