Farm to Table: Jersey Fresh and Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse

August 5, 2010

In Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse’s continuing efforts to source the highest quality raw ingredients, we are proud to announce our collaboration with a select group of local farmers through Jersey Fresh, a program that has been connecting farmers to consumers for over 25 years. This collaboration will allow Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse to provide locally-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables for the Unlimited Farmer’s Market Salad Bar™, select menu items, as well as to create new dishes revolving around what’s coming off the fields.

We will be working with the following five family-operated Jersey Fresh farms: Barsuglia Farms, Cassaday Farms, Ed Wuillermin & Sons Farms, Glossy Farms, and Maugeri Farms. Changing with the seasons and reflecting the particular bounty of each farm, you can expect a variety of local produce at each of Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse’s 35 New Jersey locations including eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet corn, peas, bell peppers, blueberries, asparagus, and zucchini.

Stay tuned to hear about more ways you can enjoy locally grown foods at your neighborhood Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse!
